Pam's Chocolate Chip

3 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
3 cup sticks unsalted butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar, packed
2 egg
1 tsp vanilla
3 cups chocolate chips
1 cup coarsely chopped pecans or walnuts

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a small bowl combine dry ingredients. In a large mixing bowl beat butter, sugar, and brown sugar until creamy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Gradually blend in flour mixture. Add chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 - 10 minutes. Cool on cookie sheet for 2 minutes before removing to cooking rack. Makes about 36 cookies.

Lovingly shared by Pam Phillips, 2015. I doubled her recipe.
