Snickerdoodles

1/2 cup shortening 
1/2 cup margarine or butter                 
1-1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
Cream these ingredients together

2-3/4 cup flour                    
2 tsp cream of tartar               
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt

Sift dry ingredients together and gradually stir into creamy mixture.

Roll into 1 inch balls and then roll in a mixture of 2 teaspoons cinnamon and 2 tablespoons sugar.  Place on un-greased cookie sheet.  Bake at 400° for 5-7 minutes.  Let set 2 minutes before removing from sheet.
